Accommodation
You will stay in the centrally located Best Western Queens Hotel Berlin approx. 20 minutes walk from Berlin’s famous shopping street, the Kurfürstendamm and close to the metro. The hotel features a bar, breakfast room and lift. All bedrooms are comfortably furnished and have private facilities, hairdryer, TV, radio, minibar and tea/coffee making facilities.
Itinerary
Day 1
Depart on your scheduled flight to Berlin. On arrival transfer to your city hotel for a three night stay. This evening dinner is included at the hotel.
Day 2
Today we include a morning panoramic city tour featuring such sights as the Reichstag, seat of the German Government, the impressive 21st century Potsdamerplatz, Brandenburg Gate and Unter den Linden, the State Opera House, plus the famed border crossing site ‘Checkpoint Charlie’, Alexanderplatz, and the TV Tower. The afternoon is free to shop in the city’s numerous Christmas markets and perhaps visit the incredible Ka De We department store.
Day 3
Optional three-quarter day tour to the elegant, old baroque town of Potsdam. Stroll round the beautiful Sans Souci Palace, view the old Russian dwellings and the stylish Cecilienhof, now a hotel, where the Potsdam Agreement was signed by Truman, Stalin and Churchill, signifying the end of World War II and the start of divided Berlin and occupied Germany. On one evening, join our optional panoramic tour of Berlin, including a meal at a local restaurant.
Day 4
Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
